Please read these terms carefully before using the MinatPay platform.

Important: By creating an account or using MinatPay, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of MinatPay, a digital payment platform operated by SMD Technologies Limited, a company incorporated under the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA) of Nigeria. By accessing or using MinatPay, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
2. Account Registration
To use our services, you must create an account. You agree to:
Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information
Maintain and promptly update your account information
Keep your login credentials confidential and secure
Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or violate these Terms.
3. Services
MinatPay provides the following digital services:
Virtual Top-Up (VTU) airtime for all Nigerian networks
Internet data bundle purchases
Electricity bill payments (prepaid tokens and postpaid bills)
Cable TV subscriptions (DSTV, GOtv, Startimes)
Reseller and API services for businesses
Service availability may vary and is subject to the availability of our third-party network and utility partners. MinatPay does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of any specific service.
4. Wallet & Payments
MinatPay operates a digital wallet system. The following terms apply:
Wallet funds are not bank deposits and do not earn interest
You may fund your wallet via bank transfer, debit card, or approved USSD codes
Minimum and maximum transaction limits apply as displayed in the platform
Wallet balances are non-transferable to other users except through designated service purchases
Wallet funds may be withdrawn subject to applicable fees and verification requirements
5. Transaction Policy
All transactions on MinatPay are final once processed. However:
If a transaction fails and your wallet is debited, the amount will be reversed within 24 hours
Disputes must be reported within 7 days of the transaction date via our support channels
Refunds for successfully delivered services are not permitted except in cases of verified platform error
MinatPay is not responsible for delays caused by network operators or utility companies
Note: Always verify the beneficiary details (phone number, meter number, smart card number) before completing a transaction. MinatPay cannot reverse transactions delivered to incorrect details provided by the user.
6. Reseller Terms
Resellers using the MinatPay platform agree to:
Use the platform only for lawful commercial purposes
Not misrepresent MinatPay services or pricing to end customers
Maintain appropriate KYC records for their customers as required by law
Not engage in fraudulent activities or attempt to exploit pricing discrepancies
Accept that reseller accounts may be suspended for violations without prior notice
7. Prohibited Activities
You agree not to:
Use MinatPay for money laundering, fraud, or any illegal activity
Attempt to circumvent security measures or access systems without authorization
Create multiple accounts to exploit promotional offers
Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the platform without our written consent
Resell access to our API without an approved reseller agreement
Harass, abuse, or threaten our staff or other users
8. Intellectual Property
All content on the MinatPay platform — including the MinatPay name, logo, design, code, and text — is the exclusive property of SMD Technologies Limited. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute any content without our express written permission.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, MinatPay and SMD Technologies Limited shall not be liable for:
Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services
Loss of data, revenue, or business opportunities
Service interruptions caused by network operators, DISCOs, or force majeure events
Unauthorized access to your account due to your own negligence
Our maximum liability in any dispute shall not exceed the value of the disputed transaction.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Nigerian courts. MinatPay complies with CBN, NCC, and all applicable Nigerian regulatory frameworks.
11. Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of MinatPay after changes constitutes acceptance.
